Leather finishing & feel modifiers
Silicones play 3 major roles in leather finishing – as water repellants, handle modifiers and anti-foams. Silicone finishes enhances the look, softness, gloss and abrasion resistance of leather. Silicone water repellants impart novel handle and hydrophilicity in addition to improving crock-fastness of leather goods. Leather antifoams help control foam formation during leather processing, thus improving the quality and efficiency of leather treatment.
